Full-Time The role you'll contribute:
Under general supervision of the System Director of Clinical Documentation Integrity and in some situations the supervision of the System Operations Manager of Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) and in collaboration with physicians, nursing and HIM coders and other team leaders, the System Retrospect Clinical Documentation Integrity Manager strategically leads and coordinates the Retrospect CDI program to ensure the clinical documentation completely and accurately reflects the patient's condition and care delivered.
The Retrospect CDI Manager supports the Purpose/Vision and Performance Goals of the Retrospect CDI program while managing projects involving business, staffing, finance and operational efficiency of the Retrospect CDI department.

Collaborate with AdventHealth Clinical CDI Team and other Corporate assets to develop and implement projects at system and/or facility level that improves the performance of CDI programs and leads to complete and accurate documentation.
Build partnerships with facility CDI groups to implement education and/or process changes Maintains knowledge of all federal, state, and local documentation guidelines and communicates changes to all CDI staff; extensive knowledge of ICD-10 coding guidelines and coding clinics.
Responsible for the hiring process for CDI team members Completes performance evaluations timely and is involved in employee counseling, coaching and termination per policy.
Provides orientation for new employees and ensures compliance with department policy and procedure.
Acts as liaison between CDI leadership and other interdisciplinary teams at all applicable levels of leadership and external partners.
Communicates appropriately and effectively with all involved parties.
Maintains high levels of employee engagement and job performance by providing recognition and opportunities for learning.
Ability to appropriately handle stress and interact with others Strategically lead the Retrospect CDI Department and team to best practice standards.
Advocate with strong change management skills QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
BSN 5
years of acute clinical experience 3
years in Clinical Documentation Integrity Registered Nurse, PA, APRN, or MBBS required Certified Clinical Documentation (CCDS) or/and Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner Prosci Change Management preferred Knowledge of hospital reimbursement models, trends and their impact to the AdventHealth system Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of medical record investigative reviews Knowledge of ICD-10 coding compliance and regulations Demonstrates knowledge and use of effective quality improvement/change management techniques with the ability to lead the implementation of new models and ensure the goals are achieved This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
