Hospice of the Comforter, with administrative offices located North of Orlando in Altamonte Springs, is seeking a full time Certified Nursing Assistant who is responsible for providing personal patient care services to clients of Hospice of the Comforter in the tri-county area (Orange, Seminole and Osceola) in compliance with the care plans devised by the Registered Nurse (RN).
Responsibilities:
Visits assigned group of patients as set forth in the Plan of Care.
Provides personal care services to patient such as bathing, shampoo, nail and foot care, oral hygiene
Aids the patient's mobility and performs range of motion activities on patient extremities as outlined in the Plan of Care
Cleans and maintains the patient area including changing linens and doing patient laundry as needed
Prepares and serves meals or snacks as directed
Assists patient as needed to eat or drink
Leaves needed supplies for patient including creams, lotions, and briefs
Documents each patient visit in patient database system
Job Requirements
Education:
Successful completion of the CNA curriculum (including 75 hours (minimum of 16 hours of classroom and 16 hours of supervised practical training by an RN)) is required.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in hospice care, home health, acute care, or nursing facility required.
Additional Requirements:
A clear/active Florida CNA License is required.
Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse Assistant (CHPNA) is preferred.
